Firebreak Requirements

Grass, weeds, and other growth should be mowed to no higher than 4 inches tall.

Prune trees to at least 6 feet from the ground or 1/3 of the total tree height for smaller trees.
Remove dead branches and other dead wood and leaves from the trees in the firebreak.
Small shrubs can remain in the firebreak, as long as they:
- Are spaced out at least 3x the width of the bush between each bush
- AND at least 15 feet from other bushes or buildings
- Are free of any dead leaves and branches
